You will be given points simply for completing each of these surveys/evaluations (except the mid-course evaluations, which I hope you’ll complete just to help make our class better!). You must complete the surveys/evaluations the week they become available to you—this allows me to get timely feedback that I can use to improve the course sooner rather than later. You will get full credit for taking the surveys/evaluations as long as it is clear that you have given a good effort to answer the questions to the best of your ability.
If it is obvious that you did not take time to answer the questions thoughtfully (because the answers are too brief or the time to take the survey was too short) then you will not get credit for the assignment.
Note: The surveys are to test your knowledge and abilities to use technology effectively as teachers. However, these answers do not affect your grade at all! They are only designed to help me see how much students are learning and where I need to teach more effectively. The evaluations are required by BYU, and are the typical student ratings you are familiar with, along with some questions I’ve added to help me improve the course.
