The Internet Comunication Project is meant to encourage you to learn a technology that can help you improve communication and collaboration within your class. In addition, I hope that you will be able to learn a technology that
- you are unfamiliar with right now and
- you are likely to use in your own teaching.
To achieve these two goals, I have provided several options that you can choose from for this project, and you can suggest your own idea if you can think of a better one. To qualify, you must select a project that meets these two goals. If you do not have a reason for choosing a different project, then I recommend doing the first option.
Project Options (choose one)
- * (Recommended) Create a class website complete with 4 pages of useful materials. View project resources and evaluation rubric.
- Demonstrate you know how to use asynchronous and synchronous video communication technologies. View project resources and evaluation rubric.
- Create an online learning community using Wall.fm or some other social network-creating tool. View project resources and evaluation rubric.
- (advanced) If you are already familiar with these technologies, we can negotiate a different project where you explore a technology like Dreamweaver, a CSS editing tool, or something like this.
