Internet Communication Project

The Internet Comunication Project is meant to encourage you to learn a technology that can help you improve communication and collaboration within your class. In addition, I hope that you will be able to learn a technology that

  1. you are unfamiliar with right now and
  2. you are likely to use in your own teaching.

To achieve these two goals, I have provided several options that you can choose from for this project, and you can suggest your own idea if you can think of a better one. To qualify, you must select a project that meets these two goals. If you do not have a reason for choosing a different project, then I recommend doing the first option.

Project Options (choose one)

  1. * (Recommended) Create a class website complete with 4 pages of useful materials. View project resources and evaluation rubric.
  2. Demonstrate you know how to use asynchronous and synchronous video communication technologies. View project resources and evaluation rubric.
  3. Create an online learning community using Wall.fm or some other social network-creating tool. View project resources and evaluation rubric.
  4. (advanced) If you are already familiar with these technologies, we can negotiate a different project where you explore a technology like Dreamweaver, a CSS editing tool, or something like this.
