For your assignment use Ning, Wall.fm, or some similar tool to create an online community. Pick any topic (not necessarily about education) that will encourage several of your family members or peers to participate in your social network. You might consider creating a social network as a study group for one of your other classes, if you have some class members who would participate with you. The more you can get people to participate with you, the better you’ll understand social networking’s potential. Spend at least 5 hours customizing your network, adding plugins, inviting members, starting forum discussions, writing blog posts, uploading media, and otherwise exploring all of Ning’s options. Try to make it the best online community you can in the time you have for the assignment.
