I am a professor in the Instructional Psychology & Technology department at Brigham Young University. Besides this, I am a:<\/p>\n
Researcher (Scholar Profile<\/a>)<\/strong>, studying learning communities and how to assess\/evaluate learning, performance, and innovation within a given community. This includes studying\u00a0Communities of Innovation<\/em><\/a>, a framework for understanding group innovative processes, as well as techniques for improving online collaborative learning and how open badges\/microcredentials can facilitate more innovative teaching and learning. I have also done research on K-16 technology integration strategies.<\/p>\n I have\u00a0published over 100 articles and chapters that have been cited over 4000 times on how to create learning environments that prepare students for the 21st century.\u00a0<\/em>I have received scholarship awards from the American Educational Research Association, Association for Educational Communications and Technology, and the McKay School of Education at Brigham Young University.<\/p>\n Teacher (at\u00a0Brigham Young University<\/a>)<\/strong>, of instructional design, interdisciplinary design thinking, research writing, program evaluation, and K-16 technology integration.<\/p>\n Evaluator<\/strong>, offering consultation for a variety of programs in K-12 school districts, higher education,\u00a0 grants, and health care.
